Before you head out of office (hopefully on vacation), take 10 minutes to prepare your Outlook and Mitel phone so your colleagues and external contacts will know that you are away.

1. OUTLOOK - UPDATE YOUR CALENDAR

Create a new appointment that is marked as 'Out of Office' and save it on your calendar as an "All day event." This way your colleagues will know you are not in the office during this time.

2. OUTLOOK - SET UP AUTOMATIC OUT OF OFFICE REPLIES

Go to File > Automatic Replies

Within the Automatic Replies dialog box, 1) set up the dates to send automatic replies and 2) enter the reply you want to send to your colleagues inside the company and your contacts outside the company.

 

 3. MITEL PHONES - SETUP YOUR OUT OF OFFICE VOICEMAIL

Refer to the Mitel Connect User Guide at this link for instructions on setting up your Availability State (page 35), and updating a recorded Voicemail message (page 65).
