There is a Polycom conference phone in the large Wilsey Conference Room that improves the ability to host large teleconference meetings in this room.

When dialing from the polycom, please enter 9 + [the number to be dialed] before hitting the Make Call key.

For video conference capabilities, login to the computer using your sfopera.com email address and password, then launch the appropriate video conference application from the taskbar: Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting applications have all been downloaded to the desktop for optimal performance.

Please refer to Zoom and Teams user guides located in the Knowledge Base under Working Remotely for detailed instructions for use.

Polycom Setup

The phone is no longer required to be plugged into a power and phone outlet – it only needs to be plugged into an active network jack (see instructions below). You can use one of these two ports to connect the phone:

1)      Port 4.1-136 in the round silver floor outlet closest to the TV (port closest to TV inside the floor panel)

2)      Port 4.1-131 on the wall under the TV (top right port).

This phone takes up to 5 minutes to come online after it is plugged in, so please plan accordingly.

Lastly, it is very difficult for IS to offer emergency support for meetings in this conference room.  It is very important that you familiarize yourself with the room setup and test the phone, computer, and television connections at least one hour before your meetings so that IS can come over and assist you if needed.

Please be advised, due to the high amount of traffic in this space, phone, computer and television settings can change frequently throughout the day. Don’t assume that everything will work the same today as it did yesterday.
